This fortnight’s theme is:
I thought I’d use this chance to catch up on one of the older prompts that I missed, which is thoughts I have while watching BookTube.
Get ready to go inside my mind.
Alright, time to watch some BookTube videos before bed.
*clicks on subscriptions*
Wow, I am so behind on recent videos.
I’ll watch people’s wrap ups from last month.
HOW do people read so many books? 13 books in a month?! TEACH ME YOUR WAYS.
I’ve got to start reading faster. Or just not watch any Netflix. Ever again.
OK, I’ll watch some monthly TBRs.
Wow, that fantasy sounds good. I’ll add it to my Goodreads TBR.
And that one.
And that one.
OK, let’s just watch a few reviews, surely that can’t end with me adding more books to my TBR. Right?
Wow, people are so eloquent in their reviews. They must be able to collate their ideas together so well. Wild respect for everyone on BookTube.
Oh look, a readathon video.
Do I have time to take part in this?
No, nope, I definitely don’t.
Stop thinking about your hypothetical TBR Kate, you’re not doing this readathon.
Let’s watch some hauls as a distraction.
Ugh that US cover is so pretty.
Oh man, I can’t wait to get that YA contemp when it releases in the UK.
OK, I’m just going to add a couple more books to my TBR.
This is getting out of hang. Just watch a few challenge videos then go to bed.
Damnnnn, people’s shelves are so pretty.
Rainbow shelf goals.
Maybe I should rearrange my shelves again and add some fairy lights?
Kate, no, go to sleep.
*closes YouTube, switches off light*
I love BookTube and some of the creators I follow post amazing videos, so I’m always excited to see new content appear in my subscription box. Even if I do often finish videos and immediately want to add to my TBR, which is a dangerous game.
Do you watch much BookTube? What are your favourite videos to watch?
