TBRs and Wrap ups

September TBR // Poetry, comics, and YA

As hints of autumn appear in the air, September is going to be a busy month. I’m away visiting quite a few friends this month, which means lots of socialising and fun days out, but hopefully I’ll be able to catch up on reading during trains journeys.

I’ve got a couple of ARCs and new releases I want to get to this month, including:

There’s quite a mix of genres I’m hoping to pick up, including Kate Tempest’s new poetry anthology, and the web comic series Always Human. I was lucky enough to be sent copies of If Cats Disappeared and Running Upon the Wire by the wonderful people at Picador, so I definitely want to read and review them as soon as possible.

I’m also hoping to read Beneath the Citadel and Tempests and Slaughter before their respective September releases, but we’ll see how that goes. Too many books and too little time, as usual.

What are you hoping to read this month? Are there any releases you’re excited for?

Until next time

    1. I’m enjoying it so far but the pacing is really uneven. Some chapters are incredibly slow and very little happens, and others have much more action. Normally I don’t mind this too much, but the writing style lends itself to slowness, so the flashbacks and other naturally slower paced scenes are made to seem even slower! I’ll persevere though, as always.
