This month is passing quickly already and I’m busy with work and travel. Last weekend I went to visit my sister in France and had a wonderful time. We walked along the beach, went to museums, and even visited Paris. That didn’t leave much time for reading, but I have the rest of the month to try and catch up, and these are the books I want to get to.
I’m currently reading Children of Blood and Bone, which is fantastic, and Vicious Rumer, which is the first thriller I’ve read in a while. I’ve also got I Was Born For This on the back-burner, but hopefully I can find some time while I’m at my laptop this weekend to get through it. (I only have an e-ARC on my laptop, nowhere else.)
I treated myself to Men Explain Things To Me while in Shakespeare and Co. in Paris, as it’s been on my TBR for about two years, so I’m thrilled to finally be able to read it. I do love a good feminist essay. I also still kind of can’t believe I went to Shakespeare and Co. at the weekend; it’s been a dream for about three years and it was so worth the wait.
Since we’re already nearing the halfway point of April (how.) I’m not setting my goal too high, and I’m really going to have to hustle if I want to get though any of these.
What are you reading this month? Have you got a dream bookshop that you’d love to visit?
