Hey guys, happy Tuesday!
It’s that time of the week again! Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted over at The Broke and The Bookish, and this week’s theme is:
June 13: Father’s Day related Freebie: Favorite dads in literature, best father/daughter or son relationships, books to buy your dad, worst dads in literature, etc.
I thought I’d go for something fun with this one because I often buy my Dad books for Christmas or his birthday, but he’s not a massive reader and doesn’t end up getting to them until months (or even years!) later. So I thought it’d be fun to choose books I’d buy him if he read more frequently and read a little more fiction! (He’s mostly a non-fiction reader.)
He likes non-fiction history books, so I think he’d enjoy books that blend history and fantasy, as some of these do. But I’d also like to get him reading more books about intersectional feminism and the Black Lives Matter movement.
Are you buying your Dad any books for Father’s Day? Which ones? If you could make your Dad read one book which would it be? Let me know in the comments and link me to your TTT posts!
