Hey guys, happy Friday as always!
The Friday 56 is a weekly blog meme hosted by Freda’s Voice. The idea is to share an excerpt from a book you’ve been reading every Friday, to promote the book or simply just to showcase your current read!
Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s OK.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it)
*Post it.
*Add your (url) post below in Linky. Add the post url, not your blog url.
*It’s that simple
This week I’m reading Eating Animals, Plum, and Carry On so I thought I’d share a quote from the latter.
‘What’s the ettiquette for talking to your girlfriend after three months, when the last time you saw her, she was holding hands with your nemesis? (Both hands. Facing each other. Like they were about to break into song.)’
I finished Carry On this morning, and absolutely loved it. The dialogue was laugh-out-loud funny and the charcterisation was brilliant. It’s definitely going on my favourites list.
What are you currently reading? Have you read Carry On or any other Rainbow Rowell novels, and if so what did you think? Come chat to me in the comments!
