Hey everyone, happy Friday!
The Friday 56 is a weekly blog meme hosted by Freda’s Voice. The idea is to share an excerpt from a book you’ve been reading every Friday, to promote the book or simply just to showcase your current read!
Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s OK.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it)
*Post it.
*Add your (url) post below in Linky. Add the post url, not your blog url.
*It’s that simple
This week, the quote I’ve chosen is from A Court of Wings and Ruin, which I’ve just started reading.
“If he’d he’d kept you here, the magic that bound you to Rhys might have come to claim his life as payment for yours. Or the life of someone he cared about. It’s old magic – old and strange. It’s why we avoid bargains unless it’s necessary: even the scholars at the Day Court don’t know how it works. Believe me, I’ve asked.”
To be completely honest, I’ve not reached page 56 yet since I just started the first chapter of this today. So I suppose this was a minor spoiler, but thankfully it doesn’t really give anything away.
Have you read ACOWAR yet? What were your thoughts? Let me know in the comments!
